If your nonprofit organization has been negatively impacted by COVID-19 and grosses less than $2.5m in revenue annually, you should know that…

Round 2 for the California Relief Grant Program started February 2nd! Act fast— applications close on February 8th at 6:00 PM PST.

Don’t miss out.

What is it?

The California Relief Grant Program was designed to help those organizations in California most impacted by COVID-19.

  • This grant comes only in three award amounts ($5,000, $15,000, and $25,000 grants), which are predetermined by the size of your organization’s annual budget and annual income.

  • Priority is given to organizations located in regions, service areas, and industries most impacted by COVID-19, and organizations whose leadership is comprised of women, veterans, ethnic minorities, and people of different abilities.

  • Basic information is requested on the application and no narrative is necessary.

  • You will need to apply for a grant through a partner that serves your area at CAReliefGrant.com. We recommend that you choose CalNonProfits.org as your partner—you do not need to be a member to do so!

  • You will receive notifications on the status of your application from Lendistry. Lendistry is the technology partner that hosts and manages the portal for the Program’s grant application and will make grant payments to approved applicants.

Is My Organization Eligible? Yes, if...

  • ...it has been in operation since before June 1, 2019

  • ...it is a 501(c)(3), (c)(16), or (c)(19) with a yearly gross revenue of $2.5 million or less (and a minimum yearly gross revenue of $1,000)

  • ...at least half of its budget is related to the carrying out of a community benefit (as opposed to a religious activity)

  • ...it was not waitlisted or denied during Round 1

Sorry, fiscally sponsored organizations may not apply. (Fiscal sponsors may, however, apply for themselves.)

A Few More Tips to Make the Application Process Go Smoothly...

  • Use Google Chrome

  • Use an individualized email address (not info@yourorganization...)

  • If you are having trouble logging in, clear your cache or use incognito mode
